Well , time is flying by. Yesterday I received an email from our agency stating that Eastern had just notified them to expect their September families to be traveling in 2-3 weeks. That is so exciting to me and I can't wait to be in that spot a month from now. I can't believe that my daughter is actually going to be here for 4th of July. I just can't believe that time has finally come. God is amazing! We are getting closer to her birthday, which last year I thought I would be sad if she wasn't here. Now, I am excited for her that she will be in her birth country to celeberate something that is considered such an important milestone there. Of course the first birthday is a big deal here in the US, but not like it is in Korea. As an adoptee myself, I am happy that she will get to celebrate this in her country and with her foster parents, and get to have the authentic ceremony that I probably couldn't put on. That will mean so much to her when she gets older to have those pictures and hear the stories. We will be celebrating by going to our favorite Korean restaurant in Ft. Myers and eating lots of bulgogi with our friends and family. And of course when her birthday finally gets her it will mean that she is very very close to coming home. We will be absolutely hearing something next month. Hearing that we got our EP, hearing that they expect us to travel soon, and getting that phone call I have been waiting for for over 2 years! THAT is exciting to me!!!!!!! I just can't wait.
In the meantime, did any of you watch the season premiere of Deadliest Catch? I'm kind of obsessed with that show. It was awesome and I can't wait for the rest of the season. Next week is Earth Day and I am taking Riley to see the new movie Oceans. That should be fun and we are also going to visit daddy in Sarasota and visit Mote Marine Aquarium. It is going to be a busy week! Our program manager at our agency is traveling to Korea this weekend and I am hoping she brings back some good news or maybe pictures. I know this post is all over the place but who cares. I am happy and I feel great!
So these are the 10 things I can't wait to see my little Bee in.
1.This is what she will be wearing when she comes off the plane.:)
2. Her diapers I made for her of course.
3. This is the afgan that I was wrapped in the day my parents picked me up.
I can't wait to wrap her in it.
4. These cute lil jammies.
5. Strawberries are my favorite. I think she has like 3 or 4 strawberry dresses.
6. I can't wait to take her to the beach in this one.
7. I can't wait to put her in her antique high chair with the bib I made for her.
7. Can't wait to carry her in my new organic Ergo that I got 50 %OFF!
8. I can't wait to have her baptised in the same dress that I was.
9. Can't wait to watch her smear ice cream all over her face while wearing her ice cream cone dress.
10. Of course, I can't wait to see her in "The Shoes".:)

i think Jesse can pull off the er*go! it's not too girly! love those green shoes and love that you are getting so close!!!!
i can't believe you sewed all those diapers! you're amazing! =) i am so excited to hear good news for you guys soon!
Hooray for all the paperwork progress! I love the clothes and how on earth did you get 50% off the Ergo? I just bought one this week and they are expensive. I really liked your take on the birthday being celebrated in Korea. The home by first birthday has been sort of a “goal” for me too (like I have any control over this process), but I do take comfort in thinking about a true Korean celebration and ritual of her first year.
Ok, the shoes and diapers are adorable! (Everything else is too, of course, but those stuck out to me).
And YAHOO for the end being in sight! Such an exciting time for you! Soak it all in :)
I love your positive attitude and I can't wait to hear your good news next month!!! I think that antique high chair is so cool. My daughter also has that ice cream cone dress and I just love it. :)
Love all the clothes. Just saw that same Ergo the other week at Costco and the dad was carrying the little one.
You are such an inspiration with your positive outlook. I really enjoyed your post today, thank you for sharing it all with us.
Good news on the Eastern front! So even though the EP process is taking so long, it sounds like maybe Eastern is at least trying to ensure that the travel calls come quickly after EP approval?
Thanks for sharing your perspective on the first birthday. We'd always envisioned hosting Max's Tol party so it's hard to accept that's most likely not going to happen. I appreciate the way you are looking at things.
Adorable clothes!! Also, I watched Deadliest Catch - it was awesome (as usual).
You are amazing! I love all of your sewing projects! Awesome! I also really like the t-shirt. Very funny! Where in the world did you get an Ergo for 50% off? I see I'm not the first to ask. I'm checking Craigslist frequently, we've got quite a while before we'll need it though.
Good luck! Prayers for you and Ashley!
So exciting! I wouldn't mind helping you celebrate her birthday at that restaurant! You almost brought me to tears with the afgan. Have fun at Mote, we went to the FL Aquarium last week and it was great!
