A Happy Easter and A Happy Birthday

Happy Easter everyone!!! Jesus is Risen!! Alleluiah!! Today, 5 years ago, I was on my way to meet my husband for lunch at our favorite BBQ place. After lunch, we headed out and the host said," I'm sure glad I didn't have to call the doctor for you today." You see I was like 15 months pregnant( atleast I felt that way). Just then I laughed and thought I wet my pants. I headed to the bathroom and as soon as I opened the door I felt a gush. I then knew it was my water. Of all places, my water broke in a BBQ joint. I went outside, all the while walking like a duck, to tell my husband and his friend. They didn't believe me until I said," Hello, look at my pants!!". The quickly stopped laughing and we all got into the car and headed to the hospital. When we got there, they checked me in and gave me a gown to put on. Good thing there was a drain in the floor of the bathroom, because I was sure that I lost all 50 pounds of water. I was not having contractions though so they had to put me on pitocin.  We waited in the room for about 4 hours and watched tv until a nurse came in and asked if I wanted my epidural because they were going into do a csection and would not be out for a couple hours. So I joyfully accepted and they came on in. Jesse ( who doesn't like needles) was trying to hold me still when he saw the GIANT needle go in my back. All I heard was," He's gonna go down, Let go of the patient!!" He was out and luckily the nurse shoved a chair underneath him. After the epidural was in place I was in Happy Land. Except I was really cold and my whole body itched . I almost yanked out my IV. We chilled out for a couple more hours , watching CSI until the nurse came in a placed me on my right side. Within 20 minutes I had 2 nurses running in and turning me back over. Apparently putting me on my right side was causing Riley's heart rate to drop. The nurse decided to check me and said," Oh Wow! Your complete!" I went from 4cm to 10cm in 20 minutes! I had to push for 2 hours because he had this Giant head! His cord was wrapped around his neck twice and they had to use the vaccuum to get him out. His head was so mishapen from being stuck that they had to put a special crocheted hat on his head.He was born at10:21pm. They wisked him away to the nursery and we didn't see him until like 1 or 2am. It was so long!! I was so worried! But now he is a big boy and when I say big , I mean HUGE!!! He is literally the size of an average 7 year old. I swear he is going to be like 6'4'' when he is 12. We made chocolate croissants yesterday morning and had a party for him . He had a scooby doo bounce house and an egg hunt. The Easter bunny got him 3 hermit crabs this morning!!! What a weekend!!!  Happy Birthday Bink! I love you so much baby!!!
