7 months old

My daughter is 7 months old today. I found yesterday that she was born on National Truffles Day, so we will have to make a tradition of making truffles on her birthday. That will be yummy fun! I have another care package going out to her on the 15th so I hope maybe I get some updated pictures soon. Some of the other agencies have someone who is visiting Eastern in Korea and taking pictures and videos of all their waiting children. I wish our agency would do that for us, instead they have told everyone that they can visit their child if they want to. Unfortunately, we could not afford to go to Korea to visit and then go back a few months later. I love our agency but I really wish they would advocate a little more for their clients.

Riley has been asking about his sister everyday all day. All I hear all day is, "Mommy, when is Ashley gonna be here, why isn't she coming, when is she gonna be 4, can we go get her?" He really wants a sister bad! He has been extremely emotional lately. Last night he cried for 30 minutes and said he missed his sister and he missed his daddy when he goes to work. He was so upset. I feel so bad for him because it is only going to get worse. After 20 years, Jesse's office is closing in Naples and as of Jan 1 he will be commuting 2hrs to Sarasota every week for work. It really sucks!!! But we have to do what we have to for him to have a job. We are slowly finishing up projects around the house and might be putting it on the market sometime next year. It makes me very sad because this was our dream house. I designed this house and he built it for us the year we got married.I found the plans from a North Carolina builder so it looks nothing like a Florida home. We have almost 3 acres and no neighbors. I always thought that we would leave this house to Riley some day, but that will sadly never happen. Riley is really gonna have a tough time with Jesse not being here and so will I. Especially because at some point I will have 2 kids to take care of by myself. Please keep our family in your prayers.

Oh, tough times. I'm so sorry about having to leave your special house! I can only imagine how much heart and soul you all have poured into it.
And poor Riley! It's hard enough for us APs to understand the wait, I can't even imagine being a little boy and trying to figure it out!

Happy 7 months Ashley! I am still in awe that our daughters are the exact same age!

I am so sorry about the commute thing and potential selling of your dream house. Big Bummer. :(

Thinking of Riley today and hoping that the wait to see his baby sister isn't too long.

Happy 7 months to Ashley!

I'm so sorry about the job situation and house. :( It is definitely tough to hold down the fort on your own. I have a feeling your little Riley is going to be a big help when Ashley comes home... he seems like such a sweet big brother!
