Xtreme Workout

Has anyone tried this or know someone who did? This is by far the hardest thing I have ever tried to do. My husband did track and other sports in high school so he has always been pretty fit, but I have not worked out in 10 years. This workout program is tough! Everyday for 90 days you do a different workout. There are I think like 11 0r 12 different workout disc and you do them in a specific order. The order changes every 3 weeks, and every 4th week you rest and just do the yoga and stretch workouts. I'm sure you have seen the infomercial at some point. Basically it's claim is to get you in the best shape of your life in 90 days. Jesse and I totally got sucked in because of that. We started it last weekend and both of us are so sore we can barely walk up and down the stairs.Either that means that we were not at fit as we thought we were or this is really kicking our butts. It's pretty funny. I think it's probably a little bit of both. It has a diet book to follow with lots of recipes and that is what I really like. So if anyone has done this please share your story with me in the comments. I have seen some of the success stories and transformations and they are amazing.

Funny you posted about this, my husband and I just did day 2 yesterday. A couple of our disks aren't working so I don't think we are in the right order yet, but so far so good, which probably means we aren't pushing it enough lol. The first day we did the punch/kick one (can't remember the name), I really like that one. and yesterday was arms/shoulders (we definitely didn't push that hard enough seeing how much they were sweating on the video).

The hardest part for us is finding a full hour so we have been doing it late at night, but hopefully we can stick with it this time (yes we tried once before not sure what happened?)

Which ones do you like best?

I know what you mean. We did shoulders and back the first day and Jesse still can't move his arms. I think he pushed it too much. The plyometrics suck! I can't do cardio to save my life and that one was just so hard. And the Ab ripperX is impossible. However the second time I did it I was actually able to complete most of the exercises. So I am hoping next week will be easier. Yoga is tonight and I can't wait because I really need a good stretch. Good Luck! I'm glad someone else is doing it with me.

That is a great program. I have friends who use it and get it great shape

Kara / Jesse - I have this program too - I got through to the Yoga. It's 1.5 hours - and that to me was the toughest. I don't think I've ever sweat so much.

I have a bum ankle - that has some lump growing out of it - so I'm taking some time off to heal. Good luck - you guys are skinny already, why are you doing this? :)

Whoa we just got done with core and were sweating like crazy (and I couldn't do any of the fancy push ups). My thighs feel like jello, I am sure I will feel those tomorrow.

The plyometrics and the yoga are the 2 that weren't working, they are on their way so hopefully we will have them next week and can get to the right routine.

Megan, the plyometrics is that hardest we thought. I did the yoga last night and I hated it. Yoga to me is so boring and I have a curve in my lower spine from scoliosis so every move really hurt my lower back. I ended up not doing most of it and I think I will do the stretch disc on those days instead. first week is almost done.
