Taking a Break
I will be signing off for a little while. On Thursday I had a really bad day and was really sad. I realized that all of the stuff I was posting was really depressing and I think making me feel worse. So I turned off my computer Thursday night and this is the first time I have turned it back on. Once I turned it off I really did feel so much better and more patient. I was checking blogs and email groups and facebook so much when it was on. I am taking Brooke and Judy's advice that you can't go day to day because it drives you crazy. The reality is that it will happen and probably soon. They are due any day for another girl referral to come in so it really shouldn't be that long. I have this wonderful feeling of peace right now because I got away from my computer so I'm going to continue that until we see our daughter. The next post you will see from me is the one introducing our little Ashley. In the meantime I will continue to pray for my friends Jen and Katie for their travel calls, for JoJo and Rachel for their paperwork to go through quickly, and for referrals for all of my waiting friends. Oh and don't worry Becky, I will post a recipe and cookbook when I get back on. Thanks everyone for reading, I hope to post again soon.

I'm thinking about you daily. Stay strong.

Kara,
I completely understand. I know when I was waiting for Adam to come home there were families that seemed to fly right past us and how frustrated I was becoming. It is so hard when you want things to move quicker then what they are. Hang in there and know that you will see Ashley soon I am sure of it. Until then take care and I will be checking back often for the recipes and cookbooks. I love that segment of your blog. By the way GREAT deal on the fireplace!! We need a new one. I will be praying for you and your family that you hear something soon.
I completely understand your taking leave. I'm cutting back online too... just too hard to hear about others and their fast processes. Anyway, I hope that you receive your good news soon and that you are back on here showing us your daughter very soon!
I think taking a break and trying to unwind is a good idea. You are in my thoughts. I cannot wait to see your next post!!!
Taking a break sounds like a great idea. I'll be thinking of you and I can't wait to read your next post!
That probably is a good idea. You know yourself best, and if you notice a difference in your general well-being you should do what you need to.
Thank you for the well wishes for me.
I hope to see you back online real soon!
Kara, I understand where you are coming from, although I hope your hiatus will be short! Big hugs to you.
I am looking forward to the next post and her cute picture
Good luck I will be checking in.
This is great for you Kara. I can't wait to just check back in again to see your little Ashley. You are in my prayers.
Judy
Kara...thanks for commenting on my post and your words of encouragement...though I'm sad that we are both still waiting in the #1 spot with Eastern for quite some time. Surely it can't go on much longer, we'll just have to keep each other in our prayers...and as you said, pray for strength. I'll be watching your blog for any updates in hopes the list will start moving again.
I am curious though, have you heard any reasons from your agency on the delay? Through my agency they said Eastern just went through some personnel changes which was causing delays and a backlog to build.

Kara...I'm not sure how to communicate with you other than posting on your blog. - Thanks for sharing the info regarding the donation fee and your theory does make sense. I'm curious, did you also have another fee increase last year from Eastern? We had one last year for $2000 from Eastern...but I called them today to see if they knew anything about an additional fee coming into affect on Sept 1 and they said they had not heard of anything. Of course my agency isn't the best or most forth-coming with information.
I'm keeping you in my prayers that your referral could be just around the corner!
Kara... I've been reading your blog, and just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you. I hope it's not long until you not only "meet" your daughter, but have her in your arms and home.
I hope you post soon. I am looking forward to seeeing pictures.
