The only thing that seems to take my mind of the waiting is sewing. It is totally therapeutic for me. I have a few baby gifts to make and this is the first one I finished. This is also an example of what I will be selling by the end of the year. This set include a bath towel and washcloth, a onesie, small quilt, burp cloth, and a bib. I think in the future the little quilt will be a taggy blanket because I did not like sewing that silk binding on. I really need to get a binding foot for my machine so I think that will be my next investment. But I think it turned out really cute. I would want this as a gift. It's unique and hand made and I could make a smaller set just with 1/2 yd of the cotton print. I think the smaller sets will be a bib, onesie, and a taggy blanket. I have quite a lot of things to sell that I had made for Cameron so I should be opening up a shop on Etsy.com soon . I have 4 bib sets , about 13 pocket diapers, and a laundry bag. So I will post as soon as I get that up and running. I need to come up with a name though for my business. Any ideas? I want to eventually have tags made for me to sew on them. Let me know what you think.

So cute!! My mom used to sew everything for me (unfortunately the 'creative' gene skipped over me...). I think it's so great that you can give something so unique and special to your own children...and also share your gift with others. Beautiful work!
SO cute, you did a great job! I think a taggy blanket is a great idea too!
That is beautiful!!! You could build quite a business for yourself. I have been toying with the idea of taking a sewing class around here - I would love to be able to create things like you do. Nice Job!
So cute!!! You are so crafty.
You are so talented Kara. I would have LOVED something like that. I often wish I could sew however I just can not. You should look at selling sets like that!
Hi Kara,
I love reading your blog and I am so sorry things are hard for you right now. I know how it is. We have 3 adopoted children. One of them died just before arriving home, but we still always think of her. We also have bio children. It is sooo hard to wait, but it will happen for you and you will be so happy and excited.
You have a beautiful little son and I can see that you are awesome parents. I love hearing about all the fun things that you do. I also love all the things that you have made. I'm sure if you open up a little shop, the items will sell very quickly.
I am keeping you in my prayers that your little girl will soon be with you.
My last comments did not post! I'll try again...What about names for your site related to your adoption wait?
"Red Thread Sewing Co"
"Sweet Distraction"
"Ashley/Cameron"
Very cute stuff! You're talented.
How about.. A String Connects, Thread and Wear It, A Stitch in Time, Sewing Connection, Deserving Babies Clothing... I'm tired, I should stop now. HA
