Monday

No news today. I did hear from our social worker but she was just calling to see how I was doing. She said that there have only been 2 male referrals come in this month and no females yet. So I really hope one comes in any day. Waiting for the second time is worse than the first time. Probably because we are so excited about getting our daughter who we though we wouldn't see for another 2-3 years. I went shopping or I guess I should say browsing yesterday. I wanted to buy so many things. I even started a registry . I know very silly, but I can't help it. I have wanted a daughter since before we got married. I picked out the stuff to decorate her room and I already told Jesse he would be putting up some crown molding in her room so I could paint the bottom half pink. And I have so much to sew. I am making a baby gift right now for a friend. I will take a picture and post it soon. I will be starting my own business sometime this year. I will probably start selling diapers after it gets up and running. I plan to have a booth at our local farmers market and then either starting another blog and selling from there or having a store on Etsy.com . I will be making baby gift sets. They will include a towel, washcloth, burp cloth, onesie with applique, bib, and possibly a small blankie. All of the items will have coordinating fabric. Wait till you see the fabric I used for my friend's. It is so cute. Her daughter's room is pink and purple butterflies. I can't wait to see her face when she opens it. Anyways, I hope she doesn't go on here and see this. I don't think she knows I have a blog. Anyways I have plenty to keep me busy this time. And my adoption buddy JoJo inspired me to put a book together. For all you family night fans, I will be putting together a book with about 30 themes with games, decorations, recipes, and more so stay tuned. It's gonna require a lot of work so I'm not sure when that will happen. I have had such a big response to our family nights and I really want to encourage families to spend more time together and this is a really fun way to do it. When I started I had a hard time finding ideas because I only found one book with like 10 themes. So I feel like I need to do it.

We also went and say a Cirque De Soleil show last night. If you ever have a chance to see one, you have to go. Their shows are so worth what you pay for a ticket. It was amazing but small compared to the one we saw in Vegas. It was the third one we have seen. Speaking of Vegas, looks like we won't be going. Tickets are now $600 a ticket. We couldn't book it until this week because we didn't really know what was going on with Cameron. So we are looking into maybe going to North Carolina to see some friends. Jesse can't seem to make up his mind though so maybe we won't go at all. I hope to have good news soon, but tomorrow is Healthy Recipe Tuesday and I have to go pick a recipe.

I'm glad you're enjoying "browsing" for baby Ashley. I can't wait to buy one of your baby gift sets! I'm sure they will be adorable (pictures please!) :)

I want to place an order with you, I LOVE etsy (and we could all advertise for you on our blogs). I bought the cutest burp clothes etc. for the boys, but now I need girly ones! I cloth diapered both my boys too, I have purposely not looked at new ones for our girl (too addictive lol) so I am excited to see what you will be selling.

I know what you mean. Before I decided to make my own I was obsessed with cloth diapers. I have so many websites bookmarked of cute diapers. I loved the Goodmamma ones but $35.00 a pop and they're not even waterproof. Can't do that. It's so much easier just to make them.

The whole diaper craze is amazing isn't it? I had Goodmama's those were so nice, but yeah I agree insanely expensive. I actually recently sold the ones I had for more then I paid, gotta love that!

Babywearing is another thing that is easily addictive, making myself stay away from that until I at least get a referral lol!

I'm making a mei tai carrier for her. I found a tutorial online that gave the pattern and everything. I bought a moby wrap but dyed it blue for Cameron and it shrunk. It was pink and I got it at target for $10. Can you believe that? They must have bought it online and returned it or something. I think it's too small though.
