Family Night.... It's Daddy's Birthday

So tonight was family night . We decided to do it tonight because I took Jesse out last night for his birthday dinner. We went to a seafood restaurant called "Real Seafood" for the first time to try it out. We usually go downtown to Trulux, but it's a little on the expensive side so we tried this one. It was not so good. Jesse's crab legs tasted fishy and he paid for it all day today. I felt really bad because he had been looking forward to it all week. This morning he went golfing with my dad and Riley and I were busy making the cake and decorating the house. I found a new recipe for icing which was so yummy. Usually I like to make the real butter cream with the hot sugar syrup and the eggs, but this one was just butter, powdered sugar, and milk. We had pizza for Il Primo and we also made a pinata. Jesse and Riley decorated it while I went to pick up the pizza. It looks kind of like a beehive or cocoon or something. It was pretty fun. And of course according to Riley it was the best night ever.

Still no news about Cameron, but according to my brother, we will be hearing something this week. He has just spent the last 6 weeks in Europe backpacking. He has some amazing stories. You can read them on his blog http://www.chrisdrow.blogspot.com/ . He recently spent some time at the Vatican and said a prayer for Cameron to come home. That has to count for something right? Who else can say they have had someone say a prayer for them at the Vatican. So he was emailing me about something we were researching together and he said, "Oh by the way, Cameron will be coming very soon. Don't ask me how I know, I just know. I will be home on the 7th and you will get a call that week that he will be ready ." . So I am really going to have faith this week and trust that my brother has a connection with someone up above somehow. Keep in mind that my brother is not a religious person at all , so for him to say that means that it might be real. He went to the Sistine Chapel and he said Jesus' eyes followed him everywhere. He went all over Europe and visited some places like Aushwitz. He has had some powerful experiences. Also Riley picked out the card for Asian night as next week's family night theme. This may not seem like a big deal, however, he picked out birthday night for this week's theme and it just happened to be Jesse's birthday. Maybe I'm reading a lot into it but who cares. Maybe, just maybe this will be the week. .....Oh God please let it be the week.
