My garden
I can't believe that once again I haven't posted in so long. So much has happened so I guess I have been busy. I'll start with my new babies. That's right I ordered chickens. 8 little ladies that will be producing organic yummy eggs for me this summer. They will be born on March 14 and I will get them sometime between the 16th and 17th. I can't tell you how excited I am about them. I got all different kinds and some will produce brown eggs, terra cotta colored eggs, and one that will lay green or blue eggs. The kids are excited too. My garden is finally doing well. I've got a lot growing. Riley has been cutting me lettuce for lunch from the garden every day and I've had a couple strawberries. Sometime next month we should have some broccoli, beans, zucchini, and hopefully some tomatoes and peppers. I also planted cucumbers and sugar snap peas but they might take a little longer. I think next season things will go much better since I'm only using one box now. I pruned my roses so they are all coming back. I should have buds in the next month as well. It's gonna be a beautiful spring here at our little family farm.

Last month Jesse and I participated in the Naples Half Marathon. He ran and I walked. He ran 13.1 miles in 1 hour and 50 min and I walked it in 3 hours and 33 min. It was really fun . And now since I was able to complete that I WILL be going to NYC in June to walk 18 miles for suicide prevention in the AFSP Overnight Walk. I am so excited !! I have never been to New York City and I'm really excited to see the city that way.

Bee is doing great. We are in the process of finalizing our adoption. It is ridiculous how long it is taking and now our agency is saying that they don't have copies of her legal paperwork. Which I'm hoping doesn't mean that they have to ask for more from Korea. Our agency has been no help and have not given us any support since Bee came home. Our adoption should have been finalized at 6 months and she has now been home for 8 1/2 months.  She is the cutest thing and I just love her personality. I can't believe how far we have come since she came home. I remember how hard things were last year and am just so happy that things have turned around.  Oh, I hear her squealing from her room so I guess it's time to get up.
