Jesse's in Korea!!

Korean Air

The view outside the hotel

Jesse's room

Bee's ticket home

Finally!! I got a call from my father in law at 5:30am telling me that Jesse was on Skype so I ran downstairs to get on my computer. We were able to talk but his video never came up. He said the flight was ok but very LONG and he was only 1 out of 12 Americans on a flight of about 450 people. He said he liked the food on flight . Before the flight though it took him an hour to get Bee's ticket. He said that the people at the ticket counter acted like they had never purchased a one way ticket before for a child. They kept asking him if she had a passport and if he was sure what her name was. He only got the ticket 10 minutes before the flight boarded , and he was outside of security. Then when the plane landed in Seoul, nobody had ever heard of the hotel or where it was. He did not see the map and directions to the bus that I put in his paperwork so he took a $100 cab.And the cab driver drove like a hundred miles an hour.  He said everything is in Korean . He is going to venture out a little and take some pictures and try to figure out how to get to Eastern tomorrow. I am so glad that he is there and has her ticket. Now I just have to wait until the middle of the night tonight so I can see pictures of my baby. I'll keep you posted!

He's there! After all your excitement and not sleeping, I suspect tonight you won't sleep either waiting to see her photos. He has her return ticket. You get to hold her soon!

Today will be an awesome day! Can't wait to check back to see pictures of Bee!! Hope Jesse figures out his transportation. I know that they had a desk at our hotel that had maps and told us how to catch the subway

Wow! So exciting! I think Somerset is near Insadong which is a real nice touristy spot. There is a tourist booth there where you can get a map of Seoul in Korean. (Probably the hotel may have one too). Can't wait to see tomorrow's post with Bee's pics!

Thinking about all of you! Sending our positive thoughts your way! This journey is almost over! What an accomplishment.
BTW---the $100 cab ride....yeah....on a good day, it's about $80 from the airport.

OK, so we had the SAME issue with the one way ticket. They actually booked a round trip ticket for A and then when we tried to return they couldn't check her in because she never used her first ticket. We had to buy a new ticket and apply for a refund when we got back! It was so dumb. Other than that Korean Air was fantastic. Jessie is going to love Insadong. Hope he is coping with the jet lag alright. Can't wait to see pictures of Bee!
