Well our I600 application was sent to CIS on November 23rd and as you all know I have been stalking my mailbox waiting for our approval. I had hoped it would come before the end of the year. It didn't!! I had emailed the immigration officer before Christmas to ask for an update and never got a response back. So this morning I emailed again and left a message for my social worker to call us. I knew she was going to try to call immigration this morning so I wanted to see if she had heard anything. She called me back this afternoon and said that she had been on the phone with them all morning, and they have no record of our paperwork every getting there. Isn't that nice!! So we have been waiting for 6 weeks for nothing. You would have thought that after I sent the first email 3 weeks ago that they would have checked and found out that it was missing then, but nope. I'm sure my email just got ignored. I am so mad, and I have really tried to be positive and patient. But this is just awful!! So now we have to send everything again and I will make sure to send an email stating that I expect our I600 to get approved right away since we have already waited 6 weeks for this. GRRRRR!!!!!!!
I just have to add that I am glad that we have such a great social worker. If we were working with someone that I didn't trust, I would really be a basketcase right now! She has a way of keeping me sane and calm when things go wrong. Thank God for her!

How frustrating. Sometimes people are soooooo incompetent. I remember when we were doing our adoptions, I ran into the same thing. I see things haven't changed over the years.
I'll keep your family and especially sweet Bee in my prayers.

Unbelievable is RIGHT! I can't believe it! When I saw your post I thought for sure that you had I600 approval. What a dissapointment! I am SO very sorry. Hoping things will pick up from here on out!

So frustrating! I am sorry that you have had to go through all this. Will be prayinf for a quick turn around! I just emailed USCIS today to check on my I600A which has been there for 4 weeks now...I can't do anything with Joel's legals until I get that I171H. Please pray for us too!
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry! I'll keep my fingers crossed that some kind soul at CIS will feel badly about the situation and will expedite your paperwork!
I can't believe it, how very frustrating. I'm so so sorry...this process never seems easy. It is good that your social worker was finally able to help you get answers. Hopefully they can fast track it when you resubmit it...wonder if they can do that?
UGH!! I cannot believe this. Sooooo frustrating! I'm sorry this happened. Hopefully things will be expedited for you now...since you have to send it all again.
so sorry! we had a similar situation when we found out that our approval letter had just been sitting on someones desk for over 2 weeks, because someone just wasn't doing their job. hope you get it really soon! don't be afraid to contact your senator or congressman. things just seem to magically happen when they get involved. they are happy to help in these situations.
