Well, it has been over a week since we heard and I am getting more and more convinced that Cameron will not be coming home with us. So we will probably be getting another referral. I just hope it is soon. Unfortunately though, if that happens we would have to use our open China paperwork for immigration. We just don't have the money to file a new one. If we continue with our China adoption, this is going to suck. I looked up what is required to file the new paperwork and it is more than I had thought. It costs $830.00 to file , we will still have to do an updated homestudy, and we will have to complete 10 hours of parenting classes. Don't you think after having 2 kids that I wouldn't need parenting classes? Where am I going to find a babysister for 10 classes . Jesse and I tried to take classes a couple of years ago because we wanted to learn redirecting, but every time we signed up for the class it would get canceled because of lack of interest. The new form also expires in 15 months instead of 18 months, however there is a free renewal. So it would be more work and more money. Even if Cameron came home and we didn't use the paperwork for another child, we would still have to pay for a renewal and do a homestudy update, but we wouldn't have to use the new form. These forms are now being used because of the Hague Treaty.
We are still hoping that we hear that Cameron is coming home, but we are also praying for his birthmother. I know how agonizing this has been for her and I pray that she does what is best for him, and if it's to be with her then I pray that God gives her everything she needs to take care of him.

i really hope that Cameron comes home - and soon. (((hugs)))
How very sad. My prayers are with you
UGH... doesn't it stink that you have to add financial worries to the mix?
Carrigan may be in kindergarten before we have her "paid off"! LOL
Continued prayers as you wait... I hope you have some resolution soon! It is so tough to be on "hold".
