Family Night... Italy

This week Riley picked Italy. Too bad my brother wasn't here this weekend. He just got back from Italy. Riley and I painted a watercolor painting of Tuscany and he painted more paintings of our house and a train. Then he and I made fresh whole wheat pasta. He loved putting the dough into the roller and then smashing it into a ball again. His noodles looked like one big blob and he kept offering it to me and Jesse saying it was a cookie. Then we ate our fettuccine with red sauce and turkey meatballs. Yum! We were going to play bocci but I went everywhere and couldn't find a set. And I was so exhausted from this week that I really just wanted to go to sleep. We all brought our blankets downstairs and watched Deadliest Catch and fell asleep on the couch. Next family night is going to be fun, but I can't tell you what Riley picked.

We are now getting ready to go to our agency's summer picnic. I'm looking forward to seeing our friends that just brought their little boy home in March, but not looking forward to telling our story and being the only couple there without a baby. Hopefully we won't stay too long and we can come home and chill out. I am so ready for next week to start. Yesterday was not a good day for me. I had a lot of "Cameron Moments" as I call them. I'll just be doing something and all of the sudden start crying. Riley keeps talking about him and saying that he's gonna go to Korea to get Cameron because he is HIS brother and he should be here with us. We have told him that Cameron will be staying in Korea with his family but obviously he is still a little confused. The purse you saw in the last post was what he picked out for his sister. I think he will do really well with a girl. He is very sweet and protective of little girls. I think there may have been a little more jealousy with Cameron because there would have been some competition. But I think he's gonna love having a sister. When we were in Wal Mart the other day he kept picking up dresses and saying," oohhh mommy look at this, you should get this for my sister." He is so cute when he does that. Well I gotta run to the picnic. Hope to have news soon. Please keep praying .

Loved your family night photos Kara. You are so creative. I hope to hear that you got some good news soon. I am sorry about your "Cameron Moments" I can not even begin to imagine how hard that must be and then to go to the picnic. You deserve some good news soon!
