One Year

A year ago today we applied to the Korea program. I am still waiting for news although it looks like we won't have any for awhile. There was something though. Our agency updated their tracking list recently and it shows the dates of referrals and arrivals of babies. A month ago the program manager had said there was another couple who got their referral 10 days before us who was still waiting for their child's passport, she said then that Eastern did not expect to get the passport for another month. Well from the tracking list it looks like this family traveled 2 weeks ago to get their child. I was upset at first and then I realized what it might mean for us. They traveled 3 weeks after Eastern told them they wouldn't get the passport for another month. That means that they received the passport probably a week later. If I am confusing anybody, I am sorry, I have only had 1 cup of coffee this morning. Anyways, it means that we could still get our call earlier than 4-6 weeks and that it doesn't always go the way Eastern says it will. That said, who knows what will happen. I was not going to call the State until Friday but my husband said he had a dream last night that we got the call. He never has dreams like that so I have to call this morning. We are going to the movies on Friday for family night to see "Night at the Museum 2" so I won't have a family night post. But I will post if I hear anything from the State Dept this week.
